This summer, Troy United returns to the Great Lakes Conference of the Midwest Premier League. Mixed with some new and familiar faces, Troy is back in the Eastern division of the GLC along with Cedars FC, MI Futsal Factory, Inter Detroit, Liquid Football, Michigan Jaguars, and Michigan Stars U23. The newest clubs to the division are Detroit Badgers FC, FC Pontiac, and Legends FC.
Like last season, this year's GLC East Division will feature 10 teams, with squads having to play each team at least once in addition to a reverse fixture against another club. Troy will face against MI Futsal Factory on May 18 in its home opener as well as later in the season on July 12.
Following their home opener, TUFC heads out on a 3-game roadtrip against Liquid Football (5/24), Michigan Stars U23 (5/30), and newcomers Legends FC (6/6). Troy then faces two home games against Jaguars FC and Inter Detroit in one week, on June 11 and June 14 respectively.
Troy gets a week off before taking on Detroit Badgers FC (6/21) and Cedars FC (6/25) before having an extended break until after the Independence Day. TUFC then finishes out the MWPL season away at MI Futsal Factory (7/12) and then a home closer against FC Pontiac (7/20).
Having finished 5th place last season with 16 points, Troy United will look to compete for the GLC East title as it returns some core players as well as adds young talent to the squad.
