Troy, Michigan - On Saturday, May 11th, Troy United FC finished their preseason by defeating Pinnacle FC (Macomb County) by a score of 9-0.
As a club with quite a few years of history and evolution, Pinnacle FC took the field looking to fine tune their performance before beginning their Michigan Premier Soccer League campaign. Unfortunately for them, the Troy United boys were ready to play in front of their home crowd for the first time in 2024. In the 90 minutes of play, Troy United FC managed to put 9 goals into the back of the net, while maintaining possession for most of the match. It was a dominant performance for the boys in white.
Kahner James, managing Troy United for his second season, said this after the match: “I was really happy with the game and how we played. I felt we looked sharp and ready for the first league game.”
Outside of the four white lines on the pitch, Troy United FC hosted the inaugural Community Kickoff Event!
Thank you to Troy Youth Soccer League Players, Troy Mayor Ethan Baker, The Osowski Family, Andrew Smith State Farm, Nutrition Counseling Center, Blackfin Realty, and the Troy Public Library for making our event a huge success! Next Match: Troy United FC at Michigan Futsal Factory; Friday, May 17th, 7:00 PM; Dexter HS Grass Game Field
