TUFC is excited to announce Laila Newton, London Greene, Abigail Perkins, and Zihan Choudhury as the club's four interns for the upcoming 2023 season.

Laila Newton is currently a student at Wayne State University and pursuing a degree in Sports Management. Newton is from Canton, MI, and is looking forward to gaining experience in a professional environment.

“I joined TUFC because I feel as though I could gain a great amount of experience,” Newton said. "This is my first internship and those that I’ve already had conversations with within the club have been very supportive and helpful as it relates to where I want to end up in my sports career.”

London Greene is currently attending Macomb Community College and is pursuing a degree in Sports Marketing. Greene is from Clinton Township, MI, and is looking forward to getting a behind-the-scenes look at sporting events and working in a sporting environment.

“I am really excited to meet everyone and work to have a successful season!” Greene said.

Abigail Perkins is studying Sports Psychology at Michigan State University. Perkins is from Plymouth MI, and is looking forward to learning about the different processes within sports.

“I am excited about meeting everyone and working together to create incredible game-day experiences for everyone!” Perkins said.

Zihan Choudhury is currently an Economics major at Michigan State University. Choudhury is excited to see the community come together to support a local club.

“I joined because I want to see the sport grow,” Choudhury said. “Soccer brings communities together, so it’s really important to get the community involved for long-term success.”

Sporting Director Owen Swan is looking forward to what the interns bring to the club. “We are excited to have our interns join us for the Summer as we help them grow into their careers and they help us grow as a club!”
